​The Amakhosi Cultural Centre, located in Makokoba township, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, is a renowned institution in the country's arts scene. Founded in 1981 by the late playwright and director Cont Mhlanga, it began as a youth karate club before transitioning into a semi-professional arts organization in 1988. By 1995, Amakhosi had established Zimbabwe’s first privately owned cultural centre, known as the Amakhosi Cultural Centre (ACC).
